Battle of Athens Exhibit Opening

The Battle of Athens is the most historically significant event in the history of McMinn County. The McMinn County Living Heritage Museum will host a grand opening of an exhibit that will become a permanent display and will be unveiled on Saturday, October 13 at 2:30 PM. Stephen Byrum , the author of the Battle of Athens book will be on site for a book signing. This event is free, and open to the public. Also take time to stroll through the three levels of the museum and explore the other 10,000 artifacts. This event in in collaboration the Pumpkintown Festival, which will be held in Historic Downtown Athens on the same day from 10 AM - 5 PM.
