"Southern Appalachian Studies Series: Life on Mt. LeConte: Four Years as an Ambassador at the Top of Tennessee,” presented by Nathan Kirkham, Adventurer and former assistant site manager of LeConte Lodge. Kirkham will discuss the history of LeConte Lodge, why that location was chosen, and how the famous lodge helped ensure the establishment of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He will also talk about a variety of colorful characters that have graced Mt. LeConte over the decades. This program will be held in the Sharon Lawson Room.
