2018 ETHS Christmas Ornament

This beautiful stained glass window was selected by the East Tennessee Historical Society to appear on its 2018 commemorative holiday ornament. Originally located near the entrance of the Ladies' Waiting Room, the window was removed in 1968 when the building was slated for demolition. Fortunately, the beautiful L & N Railway Station was saved from destruction, but not before the stained glass was removed and sold to an individual, from whom ETHS was able to purchase it.

This iconic piece of Knoxville's past is now permanently on display in the 1920s-30s Streetscape portion of the Museum of East Tennessee History for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
