Jane Austen's humorous romances have thrilled readers for more than 200 years. Seventeenth and 18th century English Country dances will be demonstrated and all audience members will be invited to participate as Karan Dotson narrates and teaches one or two dances. Scones & tea will be served. Costumes related to the Jane Austen era are encouraged. This program is sponsored by the Blount County Friends of the Library and is free, in the Main Gallery, Reading Rotunda and Sharon Lawson Room. The schedule for the day will be "Class, Conduct and Courtship in 'Pride and Prejudice' " presented by Dr. Hilary Havens and then "17th and 18th century English Country Dances" (demonstrations and teaching) with the Lark in the Morn English Country Dancers and music by The Lark in the Morn Consort, with narration by Karan Dotson.
